Wickwire Holm is a well-established Halifax-based law firm located at 1801 Hollis Street, in the heart of the business and financial district in downtown Halifax. We have extensive experience representing clients in the environmental services industry, including consultants, contractors, major oil and gas companies, power generation companies, resource based companies (cement, gypsum, forest products and salt), financial institutions and governments.
The scope of services we provide to our environmental clients is as varied as the clients themselves. We advise on legal and business issues pertaining to site assessments, audits and other environmental investigations, environmental due diligence, regulatory permits and approvals, civil litigation and professional liability. We have significant experience with the Management of Contaminated Sites and Risk-Based Corrective Action processes.
Members of the firm are actively involved in the local environmental community and sit on the Board of Directors of various non-profit environmental organizations, including Clean Nova Scotia and ESANS. Sean Foreman is the 2007-2008 Chair of the National Environment, Energy and Resources Law Section of the Canadian Bar Association and was a past Chair of the section's Nova Scotia branch.
